Understanding climate interactions in the environmental context

Seminar on Air – Ocean – Land Interactions

In addition to MIMA’s Centre for Coastal and Marine Environment (CMER), the event was attended by representatives from the Meteorological Department, Department of Fisheries, Department of Marine Park, as well as academe and students.

Oral presentations on the different aspects of climate change studies and more than 40 posters were on display at the event on the present situation and future directions. The IOES is undertaking various researches in the area of environment and climate change towards improving the ability to predict and reduce impacts and losses caused by the climate change phenomenon.


Participants at the forum

The seminar shared findings in marine and atmospheric research areas aimed at strengthening understanding and research collaboration among researchers and institutions.

Against the background of climate change policy priorities, MIMA benefited from scientific studies, research outputs, and findings that could be applied in the coastal and marine settings.
