KiLAT 2020 is intended to be a specialised logistics management, warehouse, and supply chain solutions exhibition. The exhibition is dedicated to showcasing new products, state-of-the-art technology, vehicles, equipment, and services for both local and international logistics companies. In his speech, YB Loke Siew Fook related how Malaysia is blessed with a strategic location, long coastlines, and vast resources, and with such advantages, therefore, envisaged the country as a transportation gateway to Asia.

KiLAT 2020 will be co-organised by the Ministry of Transport and EPL Exhibition Sdn. Bhd.

As a highlight of KiLAT 2020, MIMA will be hosting an international conference entitled “2020 and Beyond Regulation, Governance, and Operational Landscape for Malaysia’s Bunkering Industry”.  The conference aims to provide an understanding to the participants on recent and emerging concepts in the maritime industries, as well as knowledge and development of the bunkering industry in Malaysia and the region. The conference will feature prominent speakers from local and abroad to share their knowledge and insights about the industry. The one-day event will outline topics such as bunkering regulation, commercialisation, standardisation, alternatives, and ultra-low sulphur fuel.

MIMA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Minister of Transport, YB Loke Siew Fook and to the Ministry of Transport for the trust and confidence in appointing MIMA as Chairman of the Secretariat for the Maritime Conference for KiLAT 2020. MIMA is currently working closely with the ministry to prepare for the conference. It is hoped that the conference will contribute to the government’s aspirations in transforming Malaysia as a transportation gateway to Asia.
